Early Beginnings: The District/Magistrate Court of Hatton stems from a Rural Court established more than seven decades ago.

Evolution and Upgrade

  • Later, this court was brought to the present premises and functioned as a circuit court of the District/Magistrate Court of Nuwara Eliya.
  • It was finally upgraded as the District/Magistrate Court of Hatton in the year 1974.

A Unique Temple of Justice

The unique feature of this TEMPLE OF JUSTICE is that it is being blessed by the Buddhist Shrine, Hindu Kovil, Catholic Church, and the Mosque, all of which have a view of this court.
